A.K. is one of two owners of R.A.R.E. Muzik and is also the first artist set to release an album under the independent label. A.K. has spent the past few years developing his skill to bring the album that you are soon to encounter.
Got introduced to rap in the early 80's and haven't turned my ear from it since. I wrote my first rhyme @ 12 years old and made it a point to write each rhyme better than the last one on a mission to be the one of the greatest. I knew then I had made a commitment I would not turn away from.
The first group I was in was called Mixed Color Mafia. It consisted of myself A.K., Lord Loco, Troublemaker, Felon aka OG Big C, Scrappy, and DJ Shortdog. As a group we opened up for Point Blank, and did shows with South East Latin Sector, and the Jam Down camp which included Al D and eventually Lil Keke. Since I've featured for both Aggravated camps and The Most Hated. Recorded songs with Lil Bing, South Park Mexican, Klondike Kat, K Rino, Ike Man, Lil Villain, Sen, Rebel, Lone The Poet, Get n Live Records, OG Big C, and Lord Loco. Just to name a few. My resume also includes radio play and interviews on KTSU 90.0 in Houston, WHPK 88.5 in Chicago, and street933.com. My goal is to utilize this game for the stepping stone that it is. If rearranging the formula of how this step is formed is part of my design to achieve the next level of me, I suggest you watch your step. Steps are about to get higher.
Still being written
I have played live at several events and venues throughout Texas and have enjoyed each and every show. One show that sticks out is the Wednesday night talent contest at Coco Locos in Houston, Tx. To put it short.. Killed it! Three weeks straight. It stopped only because we moved on to R.A.R.E. Muzik generated events such as Urban Iconz @ Toc Bar Downtown.
My influences range from Kool Moe D, Curtis Blow, L.L. Cool J, Rakim, Gangstarr, Kool G Rap, Ghetto Boys (Scarface), Big Mike, Tupac, NWA. Just to name a few.
