We are a group of 16-17 year olds from Granville Ohio who write and play their own rock music. We've released one full legnth album 'Fish in the Basement' and our working on our second, 'Living for Something' right now. Visit our website to learn more!Band/artist history
2001
-The first ideas of starting a band surface. Ideas include Anthony Severyn on guitar, Jason Porter on vocals, Tyler Southard on drums, and Garik Asplund on bass.
-Anthony buys a Memphis Strat and starts to learn guitar.
-Jason buys a Mighty Mite Bass and learns how to play bass.
-Friend John Gardener buys a Fender Strat and more ideas form of starting a band.
2002
-Jack Duffus learns how to play bass.
-John, Jason, Anthony and Jack get together and play under the tentative title "County Jail."
-The band plays in public for the first time in June, 2002 at a party at Jason's house. Garik Asplund guests on rhythm guitar and Carl Porter guests on drums.
-During a band practice, friend Kirsten Paisley tries drums and the band finds that she has potential.
-Ideas form of letting Kirsten in the band.
-Kirsten joins the band, and the tentative title "False Structure" is created.
-The band has their second gig at a local block party in September.
-First home demos start writing phase.
-"In The Basement" is recorded.
2003
-John leaves the band.
-Ideas form of recording a full album.
-Serious writing for Album One begins.
-The band tries out for the GHS Talent Show with two songs, "Life Without You" and "Love Explosion."
-"Life Without You" makes it to the talent show.
-The first studio demos are recorded in Denison. "The Meaning" and "Say You Will" are recorded.
-The GHS talent show takes place in April. The band uses the tentative title "Union Underground."
-The band name is shortened to "The Underground."
-Serious writing continues for Album One.
-Home Demo CD "In the Basement-Part 2" is recorded.
-Gig on July 2nd at the Granville Street Fair.
-Gig at Spring Valley Pool in August.
-Pre-production stages of Album One begin.
-Gig at a local block party in September.
-Album One starts recording phase.
-The first Underground CD "Fish in the Basement" is released on December 9th.
2004
-Zack Morgan joins the band, adding heavier percussion, bass, and keyboards.
-Ideas for Album Two start to form.Have you performed in front of an audience?We play gigs around town, and we love it.

Weezer, The Special Goodness, The Rentals, The Space Twins, Jimmy Eat World, Fleetwood Mac, Hanson (seriously), Led Zeppelin, Ben Kweller, all sorts of bands.What equipment do you use?
We dont have any techno stuff, but we do have a lazer synth effect that we use for alot of songs.Anything else?
