Hey there everbody,
There is a Green Fields interview in the March 2005 issue of Ear Candy Magazine. You can find it here:
http://www.earcandymag.com/greenfields-2005.htm
Also, the Dutch Magazine AltCountryNL has given it a review. If you can read (or are) Dutch, you can find it here:
http://www.altcountry.nl/recensies.html#gfields
If not, I put a rather humorous translated version over in the reviews section.
Thanks for everyone's nice comments here on the board!

Just wanted to share my admiration. Your music is very pleasant. Like the slight country twang. Reminds me slightly of Gorky Zygotic Mynci. Very easy to listen to.

Hey everyone, just wanted to let you know that the album is now available to order over at the Miles Of Music website. You can go to www.milesofmusic.com or, more directly, to http://store.milesofmusic.com/prodinfo.htm?number=31308 to have a look.
Also, there is a nice little review over at www.earcandymag.com (in the February 2005 reviews section) and there should be an interview up there in a few weeks as well. I'll post an update sometime soon.

Hello Chris M,
A friend of mine has forwarded me many of your Smile Shop posts regarding me, my band and our fashion sensibilities (ha!). To each his own as they say.
Myself, I'll be checking out the Green Fields CD shortly since there seems to be some overlap in our musical inspirations (been friends with Ladybug Transistor for years).
Take care,
Darian

Really bright sunny sounding stuff. Very melodic and memorable. I hear some Elliott Smith influence, that is if he was a happy person instead of a depressed brooder. I like your music a lot.

I'm listening to "The Queen of the Nine Worthies" - I can hear the Gorky influence!
Very nice
Best regards

Hey man, we really dig your sound. Such a great "Pet Sounds" flavor to it.

Nice work-- timeless, glowing stuff. Listened to "the Queen of the 9 Worthies" and "Summer's On" so far. Beautiful production (what did you record on?) nice writing too. I'll check out more later. Good Luck!
Peace.
Jim
"Summers on" is definitely a chart topper song. Pay attention to the horn. This is the kind of song that you find yourself humming to all day long. Listen to it. You'll see what I mean. Chris, keep 'em coming.
