This song was inspired by cases of poor justice, as the individual cases presented demonstrate. I wrote it at the start of 2002.

I wrote the original text and music back in 1978, at the tender age of 16, when I had a bad crush on an older lady.

Dr. Jules was born Julian Keogh in 1962 in the suburbs of south London and arrived in Germany thirty years later after having lived most of his adult life in the north of Britain, Switzerland and northern New Jersey.
Although trained as a scientist (hence his Doctorate) he always entertained a passion for music since he first tinkered with the piano keys at the tender age of seven.
At the age of nine he also started learning the violin, but unable to muster pleasant noises from his father's tenpenny fiddle, he quickly gave that up and taught himself - as many youths in his native London - to play the guitar. He developed his own playing style (with both piano and guitar) and started writing his first tunes at the age of fourteen.
His initial works were classical nuances (piano trios and sonatas) after which he moved to writing ballads and rock melodies which he has continued until today in his own style, variously described as Elton John meets Marc Cohn meets --Dr. Jules.
Dr. Jules gigs regularly both on a solo basis and as front man in various band formations. His first love, however, is writing and performing his own music.Have you performed in front of an audience?Because Dr. Jules is based In Germany most of his gigs are there. His current major project is The Big White Telephone.

I just got news from John from Rochester New York and the place that I will be performing for the Live Benifit Concert will be November 11 2007 at The Main Street Armory in Rochester NY. Tickets will be on sale through ticket master some time next week. Please come out and support me. I can't wait to play my songs live. I will be performing my song "IN A BOX" playing piano and singing. It will be great. I am so looking forward to this. Thank you everyone for all your support. I will have FM radio play as well as tv coverage. So if you can get to Rochester New York support me & come to my show :)
