The name Separation is a metaphorical, conceptual statement of the nature of our disparity. It represents the inner void - the separation - that we all know, yet cannot quench. It leaves us searching flailing for more, only to be displeased again and again. The same rings true on a spiritual level. Because man is a innately sinful creature, we cannot fully know God. This is the ultimate separation. In Christian theology, God sent his son, Jesus to bridge this separation between God and man. The name represents much more than meets the eye. 'That which comes between us' is the simplist explanation of separation. So many things can separate us. Amoung them greed, selfishness, pride and death. Even religious institutions - meant to alleviate the pains of society - have produced their own sinful acts of racism, bigotry and persecution. The problems of this world won't resolve unless unity is realized and the walls of separation - whether it be religion, racism or illogical presuppositions - come crashing down. The evils of this world will not be rid by means of revenge; rather with acts of genuine and sincere love. Our sinful nature separates us from each other, from God, and from who we should be... Love will cover the multitudes of sin, and morality will protect us from the self-rotting results of that which comes between us, our separation.
