Drone on, my son...drone on...let it ride slowly, it kicks in with subtlety, like a hit of your favorite...
The General's Dinner The General's Dinner
Fight the good fight, America! The General demands his supper, he dines on Prosperity Salad, and he wants seconds. Feed him. Light his cigar. He loves you and will protect you from yourself and that pesky "freedom" thing you keep yammering on about.
In the beginning, God created the Earth, and it was good, and then God created man, and, uhthat didnt turn out SO good, and then man created the machine, which was good, for a whilethings went smoothly as man now had leisure time, and he developed art, literature, weapons and vices smoothly, until the day the Robots decided theyd had enough of man and his shenanigans.
Flash forward to the year 2763, after the Lithium Rush, on the last human outpost of New-New-New York City, where crusty settlers dare to treada Robotic Madam arrives as from nowhere and sets up a burlesque shop in their little frontier town; all the children run away, and all the women frown, for men line the streets before her house of sinful delights - she deals in the most precious of commodities of the age: LOVE and KNOWLEDGE at 20 Blue Rubies a hit.
Madam Robot and the Lust Brigade is a sonic prophecy of a future past and yet to come.
Madam Robot and the Lust Brigade are both the Circus and the Tent.
Madam Robot and the Lust Brigade laugh at all things and apologize for no thing.
Madam Robot and the Lust Brigade are the sonic front against mind control and the defenders of Love.
Madam Robot and the Lust Brigade are foolhardy time travelers, with one foot planted firmly in the Love Summer of 1967 and the other in the Winter of Discontent of 2012.
Fear not, silly mortal: grab a fruity cocktail and chill it, cause the end IS near, and its a hell of a ride!Band/artist history
The band formed (in your reality) in autumn of 2003 in New York City, starting with Oweinama and a collection of techno-poppy, dreamscape song ideas on a CD-R that were transformed into schizoid, shamanistic acid-fuzz mash-ups through the influence and collaboration of Jeremy Bartlett, drummer (whom he stole from his friends band, for which he will never be forgiven) and Brooks Hefner, bassist, (whom he miraculously found by placing an ad on the wasteland of lost and/or exaggerated hopes, the Craigslist.org musicians bulletin board), and Matt Sanders, a young punk from Boise, Idaho arrived ever so fatefully at the right place at the right time as the electric guitar man. ** An interesting side story: the bands old guitarist, a young boy from Japan, had a psychosomatic experience that forced him to leave the city and embark on a journey across America via rail cars, Godspeed to him wherever he isand Matt had just moved in as Oweinamas new roommate at the big red apartment in Ft. Greene, Brooklynlittle did he know that the kid with the Red SG had a lot of mojo to get out of his blood, as he transformed from mellow jazz cat to Johnny Sexopath before his eyes. **
The new formation was playing underground loft parties and local club dates almost immediately, and recorded their debut EP Technicolor Eye in the spring of 2004, in a moldy basement rehearsal studio in the Lower East Side on an old four-track tape machine for zero dollars. The results, the captured dirty magic, if you will, you now hold in your hand as a testament to a band of electric hookers who, like the machines, have had enough in a time where SOMETHING has to give.Have you performed in front of an audience?Where men will spend there money on good times and no longer on that which divides
