SETTLE began as a group in the summer of 1998.
The band’s uniqueness can be attributed to their individual diverse interest, which ranges from Puck rock to the beats associated with Dance Techno.

Early influences were from bands like Blink182, Greenday and Nirvana. As the band matured influences emerged from listening to bands such as Pixies, U2, Radiohead, The Faint, Rapture, Blur, Liars, Bloc Party and others. If asked to describe their music, they simply say it sounds similar to awesome but if you need a currently popular band to compare too, you could say Settle sounds similar to The Killers, Franz Ferdinand or Blur.What equipment do you use?
Although SETTLE is a "Rock" band they have incorporated dance beats (Alesis DV-Pro) and electronic sounds produced by the Micro Korg and Roland Juno keyboards. It could be suggested that Settle is a "Dance Rock Band" although they don't think of themselves as such. "We play what's cool for us. If you dig it, that's cool..."
