pinedog always nails it with his comments. i'm with him on this. its a great song. the lyrics are meaningful and tell such a great story. the vocals are outstanding. the recording and production are very good. the guitar work sounds beautiful.

Nice song Gordy. The guitar playing is lovely and the tone as well...wonderfully recorded. Liked the theme of the song...good lyrics..especially liked the second verse. i thought the whole tune had a very "English Folk" feel that ya just don't hear much anymore. nice vox as always..well done my friend!

Boy Can I relate to this one Gordy coming from a rural town in Iowa. Mighty fine lyrics! I like the beat on this one as well.

Howdy Gordy,
Well, indeed I do hear a bit of Arlo influence in this fine tune, and superbly written as well. Kind of makes ya want throw in that old Carter Family song...."You're Gonna Miss Me When I'm Gone" for extra measure after hearin' this one....like the missiles could fly any moment!!! Your song kind of brings back the memories of that time of the Cold War, but with a bit of humor in the melody and inflection of the singing!!!! Well done......with my applause, Gordy....Well Done!!!!!!!

I have to agree with both PineDog and my friend Jamey.... a fresh tune, I can almost breathe the country air from this! It's good to have a reminder in the form of a good song to point the way without scolding.....just great music with good valid points that can't be denied!!!! Fine Work!!!!

A very interesting backstory to this song to say the least, but it doesn't stop there....this is absolutely surperb in all it's assets and there are many.....your vocals, the harmonies, the melody, the lyrics, the arrangement and the overall production......Loved it!!!!!!!!!!

Truly an awesome melody and superb lyrics....are you sure that you're not Gordon Lightfoot? 8 ) This is an inspiring tribute to the folks of Peggy's Cove and the victim's families.....well sung and presented lyrically in an interesting angle with sensitivity and class......a great listen all around!!!! Sorry, I haven't had a chance to get back more quickly.....but I'm glad to finally had the chance!!!!!

This is listed as folk but boy she sure rings like country to this old country boy! Excellent writing as usual gordy...your lyrical poetry is always well done. Nice vox...clean, well delivered and with nice harmonies. Good tune here!

Howdy Gordy,
First of all thank you for your most kind comment, it is very highly appreciated. Secondly, I know you're a person that not only knows good music for having come from listening to Jamey's music, but by what I hear in this song, People Still Dream..... The melody flows like silk with your lyrics.....and the instrumentation was arranged beautifully and the vocal, powerful and yet peacefully charming. Please don't take this the wrong way about the song as I mean it as a compliment, if you had introduced this song back in the fifties or sixties....some big celebrity like Lorne Greene may have wanted to record it.... yes, this is quite a song!!!!!!

Really like this one Gordy. Not just a good arranegment but with excellent lyrics and a vocal delivery that is ace. I also loved the tones on the instruments. The harp is nice frosting and adds another dimension. The feel of the tune just pulls you in...this is good!!

Gordy - Thank you for listening to some of my work and for your comment. I am listening to some of your songs now. Nice concepts, production and playing. Very very nice voice. I know it's an older one, but I like "The Rose" in particular. :-)

Great environemental slant on this one Gordy. The country arrangement keeps it light and fresh even tho the message is waving red flags. Nice chorus. Solid vox and playing...well done!
