The Real McKenzies are a Vancouver BC. based CELTIC PUNK band. Songs (or masterpieces, as the group calls them) include, "Scots Wha Ha'e," "Stone of Kings," and "Bastards."
The band is made up of six men donning kilts and sporrans and claiming to be entirely Scottish, while on stage if at no other time.
Formed in the year of our lord 1992, for reasons which to this day defy explanation, The Real McKenzies have played over 2500 shows, some of which they can actually remember! Constant, rigorous touring and an innate sense of always being in the wrong place at the wrong time has led to a "close encounter" with an unknown flying aircraft near an Arizona air-force base, disrobing female fans in Texas, three dislocated knees, one broken nose, 112 stitches, one night in jail, and guest appearances at distilleries of ill respute!

If you're really scottish...put some tunes up. I cannae get tae hear nothing ower here in the Peat Bog and Pine Forest of Caledonia. Check out my track "Pulling Out Of Tyndrum"... stuffing his wood in the old boiler as quick as he can...
Got to see the guys in Chilliwack here 2 nights ago,but am experiencing severe memory loss,or possably slight mental retardation as a result.Got a pic signed {lost it!]got a CD {lost that too!!!}f#$%@* Hell!got to party a bit with them {don,t remember much!}anyhow ,they totally kick!!and The Darkest of the Hillside Thickets rocked too.My only advice to anyone is GO SEE THEM!!!and don,t drink 26 ozs of whisky before you do!Had a blast ,hope i wasn,t to much of a tit!Thanx for a great night,you guys RULE!!P.S.if ya ever have a minute to send me another autographed pic.PLEAZE DO IT!kicking myself in chilliwack.Sherry{roller girl}
