Muddy Waters came to Jim Fox in a dream and told him to start a blues band and know he plays guitar,sings and leads The Bluestones, an original blues and rock band that features the singing,songwriting and guitar playing of Roger Hoover a 23 year old phenom with 10 years of playing in smokey nightclubs and the heart of John Lee Hooker.Also featured are Brian Diaz (The Brain)on drums, percussion and congas, bass player and songwriter and underground legend Jeffrey Normal who played Lollapalooza and toured Japan with James Gurley and has two release under his own name and another he wrote and produced for 3 hole PUNCH also produced The Bluestones album "Outskirts of Town" on Wet Cat Records.Band/artist history
The Bluestones came from a dream that leader,guitarist and vocalist Jim Fox had, in this dream Muddy Waters appeared before him and told him to start a blues band which he (of course) did.The band worked the circuit in many incarnations always including the best the land of NO had to offer and played all the clubs.The addition of producer and songwriter Jeffrey Normal and Roger Hoover, also a songwriter, allowed the band to introduce a new CD including the compositions of both these members as well as Jims.
