I am F.A.T., grandson of the legendary Al Braggs Sr., who was known for his contributions to the R&B Movement in the early years. Growing up Music was music was my savior. Music helped me get through a lot of hard times. Just hearing someones story that made it out the hood helped me cope knowing that they endured the same struggles. I witnessed all the hood struggles first hand growing up in the East Dallas Projects. As a teen I was accustomed to moving a lot because my mama was trying to hold it down by herself. I saw a lot of different type of people and so being me wasnt hard to do. I learned that it wasnt where you come from but who you come from. As a child, football was my dream and making it BIG would end my struggles, but the negative values that I was honoring caused me to mess up that opportunity and fall to the streets. I took a couple of hits and had to come back with a plan. After years of studying and learning the business I developed a way to make the change that I knew would come. My drive is navigated by the thought of me knowing that I was born for greatness. In the beginning I only desired to write music, poetry, and books, but later I decided to grab the mic and to bring life to the thoughts that I put on paper. According to society, I am a THUG, I see myself as a talented Black Man that was born into the Struggle and trying to find his way out and stay out. I now realize aint no future in selling DIMES, I rather sell RYMES to help others get through hard TIMES!Have you performed in front of an audience?YES
