8 Miles High first formed in January 2002 and have now been together for nearly two years and have gained a name for themselves in Rugby and the Warwickshire area. They are a 3-piece band containing guitar, bass and drums. Their influences go as far back as the 1960's, including famous names such as The Beatles, The Who, Jimi Hendrix and David Bowie. Their influences are a definate reflection on their live performance. With energetic drumming, melodic bass lines and fantastic guitar riffs mixed together with strong vocal harmonies, you get the musical entity which is 8 Miles High. And they are...........

The 3 members of the band are:
Lee Hambridge- Guitar/Vocals
David Hambridge- Bass Guitar/Vocals
Steve Muzyka- Drums
Brothers Lee and David Hambridge founded the band in early 2002 when David found out about Steve through a friend. David found out Steve's number and Lee finished the job off. He got in contact with Steve and 8 Miles High was officially formed about a month later.Have you performed in front of an audience?We play all round the Warwickshire area. Our biggest achievement was winning the Battle Of The Bands award in Leamington Spa.

Our biggest influences are: The Beatles, The Who, The Small Faces, The Rolling Stones etc.Anything else?
During their time, the band have learnt a lot about the music industry and have had many different experiences. A few managers have passed through the band and made no positive influence on them and so at the moment, they are working alone to secure gigs with only a few people around to assist them. Most of this credit goes to Guitarist and singer Lee Hambridge who secures 95% of the gigs for the band and is also their main composer (Find out more on Lee's page). Family and friends have also been a great help to the band so thank you to everyone for their help.
