I rap and I make beats. My rap name is the Quon and I'm currently in the process of putting together a full length album. If you want to know my music is all about: http://www.youtube.com/quonmusic. I am always down to do a show or jump on any track that you might have. Even though I've been rapping since 2003, I'm just starting to get my name out there, and welcome any collaboration.
My beat making name is Midwest Express, and I have made 50 some beats or so now. These beats are spread across 3 years, but each one is basically whatever I was feeling at the time. I record the beats on Sony ACID Pro, but don't get excited, it's the $40 version. I can't wait to get a better software program.Band/artist history
I started rapping in 2003, and making beats in 2006. With rapping I put out a 6 song EP in 2004, but I don't want anyone to hear that now...Beat making is some what similar, I tried experimenting and failed with Fruity Loops. Even thouugh I was making music and doing shows, I wasn't recording anything professionally.
That has started to change as my talent level has gotten a lot better, and a lot of people are starting to encourage me to continue recording. I am 12 tracks deep in a debut full length, I'll make all the tracks available and am having a voting contest to name the top 12 that make the cut.
My beats have also markedly improved. I've put out 4 beat albums, and the beats on the site go back Newest to Oldest.Have you performed in front of an audience?I have played in live in Chicago yet, but I'm working on it. I played in Minneapolis at places like the Caboose, The Steaknife, the Blue Nile, the Red Sea and block parties. Block parties were usually my favorite, never knoww who would jump on stage and get rediculous.
