No One's Hero is an energetic punk trio from Harrisburg, PA.Band/artist history
The origin of No One's Hero can be traced back to October or November of 2002 when the band Plaid Flag was born. Originally the band had Kelly on vocals, Brandon on guitar, Jake on bass, and myself (John) on drums. It soon became apparent that Kelly didn't fit with the rest of the band and we parted ways. We spent a month or so trying out different singers, including Daryl (ex-poorboy) who convinced us to change our name to No One's Hero before deciding he didn't want to play with us. With our first show coming up at the end of December and having no singer, we decided Brandon would sing.
With this lineup, we released our first DIY 3 song demo on Plaid Flag Records in January of 2003. We spent 4 months playing shows before tensions between Brandon and I got to be too much for the band to handle. In May of 2003 Brandon and Jake left the band. I decided, having just spent $500 on stickers and shirts, that I would keep the band going. I made the decision to move to guitar for 2 reasons. 1) While playing with Brandon and Jake, I wrote a lot of songs that just didn't fit in with what we were doing, and I saw the opportunity to use those songs, and 2) I got sick of setting up a drum set 3 times every weekend.
After a less than extensive search, I found Joey Belvedere outside the Why're one evening in May 2003, and long story short, his name is at the top of this page. After searching far and wide, left and right, up and down, North and South, East and West... oh yeah, and diagonal, we finally found a new drummer. In July of 2003, Graham joined the band.
Oh and just for the record, since we picked the name No One's Hero, we have discovered there are 18165845123545315 other bands named No One's Hero, so don't e-mail us, sign our guestbook, hack our website, etc. to tell us that we stole the name from your band, because we didn't, we don't care, we're not changing it, and you guys suck anyways.Have you performed in front of an audience? We live to play live.
