30 seconds of pure noise

Paving Hills (2005) Paving Hills (2005)
A mix of old school metal with contemporary ideas

5 Second Act 5 Second Act
Another new track from our recent 2005 recording session. Dark lyrical content with a hypnotic rhythm

ATYS ATYS
From our most recent 2005 recording session. Sounds so much better than the old stuff (production wise). Strange stoner/tribal/goth/punk hybrid that's evolved over some 8-9 years since the guitarist first came up with the riff

Duma have been entertaining, amusing and bemusing audiences in the Newcastle area in England for about the last... oh it seems like forever now :)
Eddie Carter - Screams, shouts, occasional singing and on-stage comedy banter...
Chris Jermyn - Guitar and general dislike of on-stage comedy banter..
Mark Watson - Bass, general organiser and equipment monkey...
Alistair Barrie - Proper guitar work
Paul McKiernan - Drums and magic tricks
Band/artist history
Eddie and Chris (Jerm) formed the band 3-4 years ago at a piss-up and went through various line-up and girlfriend changes before doing anything remotely proper. Mark came and organised them a bit better... got them out of the living rooms and into the practice rooms and a set was born...
Heading to the studio soon to do our first official and self-financed CD... look out for new tunes soon
Have you performed in front of an audience?
We currently play live mainly in the Newcastle area but will expand in due time
Your musical influences
oh good god... the reduced list for simplicity...
Eddie Carter - The Smashing Pumpkins, The Pixies/Frank Black
Chris Jermyn - Discharge, Napalm Death
Mark Watson - Nine Inch Nails, Pearl Jam
Alistar Barrie - Guns n Roses
Paul McKiernan - Metallica
What equipment do you use?
We're not using much techno stuff at the minute. I use a Schecter CV4 Bass, Zoom 708II bass pedal and Ashdown Bass Amp, Chris uses SG and BC Rich guitars a line6 SpiderII amp and various effects. Alistair keeps changing his gear so I'm listing it ;) Paul plays drums. I know nothing about drums Eddie uses an e835 Sennheiser microphone.
Anything else?
For anyone from Newcastle, especially those in other bands... support the scene and help each other out and maybe if they get anywhere they'll help you out in return :)

Much appreciated... it's from our new recording which we put together in one whole day. Stay tuned as there'll be a few more songs pop up over the next few weeks :)
Hi there! I just checked out your track ATYS. I really adore that tone. It has been put together very well. I can see that I will have to keep returning to see what else your doing. Cheers from Dunedin, New Zealand.
check out my cover of the super milk chan themesong. do it nooooowwww.... feel the retardedness. feel it as it causes your bowels to void!
I love Weird Al... thanks for the compliment ;)
Duma - the best comedy music act since Weird Al" Yankovic. From the first moment I saw your website, to the when I downloaded your songs, I couldn't stop laughing. Someday I intend to listen to them.
Long live modern pastiche!
