Born on April 30, 1988, Lamont Smith was exposed to music from birth on by his parents Adela Lee and Timothy Smith by surrounding him with music from the late 80's and early 90's. Artists and groups such as Guy, R.Kelly, Silk, New Edition, SWV, and many more became influences on his choice in music and even his musical productions later on in life.
Throughout his primary school years, Lamont kept his musical abilities and talents hidden from the public eye, but had a coming out party at his senior talent show in 2006, where he made a significant stamp on the show.
Upon graduating a few months later, he moved eastward to Pittsburgh, PA where he worked around the producers and engineers of Wiz Khalifa and Mac Miller, and also recorded and produced tracks at the Grammy Award winning studio Ya Momz House. These moments solidified the confidence it would take for him to push through his growing pains in the early years of his musical career.
After three years of writing, composing, singing, performing, and recording all over the Pittsburgh area, Lamont moved back to the midwest to pursue a just as equally important goal of receiving a doctorate in Sports Medicine. While moving towards this goal, he continued to work tirelessly on perfecting his unique sound.
In 2010, Lamont established his own production company, Blessedchordz Productions, and began to build his brand from the ground up. He is now currently producing for many different talents across the US with his focal point remaining here at home in the Midwest and in the Pittsburgh area.
