The Takeoff is a five piece rock group from the great state of New Jersey.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
The Takeoff formed in the wonderful year of 2000 as a bunch of friends who got together to jam on their instruments to cure boredom. Three years later the band has become much more than just a jam band. Hailing from Vernon New Jersey, the band has played all over their home state establishing a strong and loyal fan base with an arsenal of original material.
Since 2000 the band has put out an demo titled Perfect Is Not Good Enough and have played with bands such as The Early November, Dont Look Down, Matchbook Romance, and Hidden In Plain View. Touring being inevitable, the band plans on hitting the road next Summer (August, 2004) for an east coast tour and releasing a a good EP this Winter (April, 2004). Much can be expected from The Takeoff. They are on their way. So keep your eyes and ears open, they will make sure you do not miss them.
