Founded in 2005, Seldon has been an uphill journey ever since. After some lineup changes, The band is starting to realize that God is moving in the right people to take this journey to the top. By the end of summer, their long-anticipated studio release "Daydreaming In Nightmares" will be available online and anywhere that carries it. Seldon has also had undying support and help from big-time ministries like "Threshold Of Grace", and more ministry endorsements in the works. With a combination of melodic riffs, crushing breakdowns, and pitching screams, and catchy clean vocals, Seldon returns from the studio, and is coming to a venue near you very soon. Seldon is a band that was formed in early 2004, with founding members Josh Hawkins and Joseph Smith. After the first practices, the band knew that its existance was meant to be. After intense and long practices, Seldon, formerly under the name of "Until It Ends", played their first show, sharing the stage with Kingston Falls (Facedown Records) in Saint Peters. With hawkins' melodic and glamorous guitar riffs, and smith brutal and naturally talented vocals, the band realized they had nowhere to go but up. But after some lineup changes, The band totally changed up there sound into a more creative and original tone under the leading genre of metal/hardcore. Until It Ends played their first shows and gigs at venues like Club UR and Merge(Rip), Also at churches and more. Realizing that after the change of pace and sound, the members in Until It Ends realized that changing the name of the band would give them a fresh and clean start, with only success as an option. Changing the name to "Seldon", which is the name of a character out of a book, defines a modern-day noah type character, which is part of the bands mission which is spreading a light and saving those before its too late. Seldon had a steady line-up, before august 12th, when bassist Evyn parted ways with the band for college, playing his last show with them one more time. New members which included Omar Olivares on drums, and a long time friend of the band, Josh Smith on Keys. Kameron Walker moved from drums to Guitar, and Original guitarist Josh Hawkins parting ways with the band, replaced with guitarist Dalton Luck, and Austin Ball on bass, completing the best and unstoppable line-up the band has ever seen. Now with a newly founded confidence and mindset, Seldon returns this summer releasing their highly anticipated album "Daydreaming In Nightmares", which will be out this summer. At this time, Seldon continues to book shows and ultimately a tour to show the world the love of Christ and to have fun while doing it. .Have you performed in front of an audience?Yes, we've played venues, clubs, bar's, and festivals. We practically love any place that has a good sound system, a good sound guy, and a good location. We have so many special moments between band members on-stage that I don't think its possible to list them. haha.
