Hey everyone we are Phase27...a 3-piece punk band from Wichita Falls Texas! go to www.phase27rocks.com to see pics, videos, and other good stuff!
Band/artist history
Once upon a time, Scott, Matt, and Josh all came together by the forces of nature to form Phase27. Actually Josh just lived down the street from us, so we decided to start a band (after seeing the movie "that thing you do"). We've been playing together since we were in 5th or 6th grade, so about 5 years now, but we didnt get serious about it till about 3 years ago (2001). We did our most recent EP "Party at the Moon Tower" in Apr. 2003, and its still sellin at all our shows. stay tuned to the on going saga known as phase27, and read more about us at our site www.phase27rocks.com!
Have you performed in front of an audience?
Yes all the time... our home court is The American Legion post 169, but we've played many other places, and some outta town shows too, like in Ft. Worth and Lawton. Our best show was probably at The Mac Stack (r.i.p.) on Sept 20th, 2003. The crowd was awesome, and no one threw tomatoes at us... thats always a plus!
Your musical influences
Our influences are pretty obvious if you listen to our music. We were first inspired by bands like Blink182 and Bowling For Soup, and also bands like Finch or The Get up Kids, with a hint of old Metallica (just kiddin... though old Metallica does rock)
What equipment do you use?
I [Scott] play a Fender Stratocaster (candy apple red, mexican made), a grunge DOD pedal, a crate halfstack, and what ever picks I can find... Josh plays a Black Fender Jazz bass, and a Peavey NitroBass stack. Matt plays blue Ludwig drums with Zildjian cymbals (for the most part), and a Chad Smith snare.
