My name is Ed Welch. I'm a Christian rapper, a producer, a singer, a minister, a husband, a father, and simply a child of God. Uniting God's people, especially those called to music ministry is my passion. I'm open to all sorts of music. I thoroughly enjoy classical music, which is why you will generally hear strings in songs that I produce. I'm 29 years old and I started rapping when I was around 15.Band/artist history
I've been in many different rap groups over the years that have come and gone. I love to work with other artists. But like I said earlier, I've been rapping since I was around 15 years old.Have you performed in front of an audience?I'm constantly preparing for various concerts. I'm always open to come and minister. I also am available to preach. I speak to youth & adults alike. I really enjoy live performances. I feel more comfortable on stage than I do walking down the street. I mean, I was preaching @ 15 years of age. Every time God uses me is special...seriously. Not trying to be all deep or anything. It never gets old. Each time is still almost like the first time.
Your musical influences
That's hard to say...I'm a huge buffet table of musical styles. Every style of music I've listened to influences me. I know it's hard to tell now (since I only have this maxi single out) but I have a wide range of musical taste that will be shown through my music. I can't list artists. It would be easier for me to list genres. In no particular order: Hip-Hop, R&B, Pop, Classical, Gospel, Country, Neo Soul, etc. Lol...can I just say everything?What equipment do you use?
Well...I'm upgrading my studio now. So I could list things like Reason and Inuendo, but to be honest, I don't even know how to use those programs yet. I'll be learning in the near (near being a month or so) future. I've always just stuck with a professional keyboard. Right now, the Fantom (Roland) is my keyboard of choice.Anything else?
