We are a hard rock, alternative, Goth band with a dark edge. Our music varies quite a bit from one song to the next and within songs too. The band has a longish history but the only thing that counts is what we are doing today with the new and forming line-up of talent.Band/artist history
Mikki Finn began it's musical storm back in the stone age days of the early 90's glam band era. The only problem was that they where playing late 90's alternative which didn't go over that well with the big hair folks in the Detroit area at the time. Yet Mikki Finn banged away, stubbornly sticking with their unique musical vision. During the interim they went through approximately 40 vocalists trying to find the right set of lungs that at least could be heard over guitar and bass amps set on 11. That day finally came in the mid 90's.
With vocals in place Mikki Finn decided it was ready to put some studio time in. After a couple months of collecting returnable bottles they had enough cold hard cash to pay for a few hours in the studio and proceeded to cut their first CD. Well, ok, it was a cassette technically speaking. The tape went over very well with their audience and everybody wanted one. They even sold a couple! But low and behold Mikki Finn was not fated to exist in the form it was at the time and went through a sloppy divorce. The flag was carried on however by the guitar player who moved the bands seat of power to the Boston, Massachusetts market. Mikki Finn is once again in the studio for the next several months, recording its unique musical vision.
The new line-up consists of the guitarists Duane U. and Debra C., vocalist Renee G., with Bass and Drums still pending.Have you performed in front of an audience?We haven't played live in Mass except at a few private parties. We used to play the Detroit circuit however.
