Band/artist history
'Voice of Aggression' formed in January of 2003 after the demise of Residue, At which point Dave Rowlands (Residue) asked Dave Robertson if he'd be interested in forming a new band, John Fraser (Residue) was already marked as the bands drummer. The lineup of Dave Robertson, Dave Rowlands and John Fraser was in place since day one, however the band went through a few bassists and second guitarists before deciding to stabilize as a 3 piece for a few months. The bands first demo was recorded by Andy Wardle during this period at Aberdeen College, with Pete on 2nd Guitar who left the band shortly after. Voice Of Aggression played their first show on May 5th 2003 supporting 'Severed Head Of State' in Glasgow. During this time the band wrote a full set of their own material and played shows across Scotland. In July 2003 the band undertook a short tour of Belgium , Holland and Luxembourg with their good friends 'The Belgian Waffles'. However just before the band left they had began practicing and played one show with Al - B (Ex - Karloff) on bass, though sadly his addition was too late for Al-B to make the Benelux dates due to flight tickets etc and the dates were played as a 3 piece. Upon return the band played a few Scottish shows and wrote new material and began preparing for their second mini-tour of the summer to Ireland in September with good friends 'Eatyergreens'. As a warm up for the Irish dates the band played 3 shows across Scotland taking in Aberdeen , Dundee and Kircaldy, 2 of which were with Dutch Destroika punks 'Breznhev'. In final preparation for Ireland both bands recorded a split demo ' Open Eyes To An Evil World' the demo was recorded by Tom Banks from 'Ten Easy Wishes'. The band travelled to Ireland in late September 2003 and played shows in Castlebar, Limerick and Belfast. Voice Of Aggression are currently busy writing new material in preparation for a full EP in Early 2004 followed by some English dates in February 2004. Plans are also being undertake for an extensive tour of Europe in July 2004.
