Founded in 1990, by Jack Sanbower, The central Maryland based No Leeway Band has developed into what has become one of the finest traditionally based bluegrass bands in the country. Original material, great harmonies and instrumentation rivaled by few is the bands hallmark. The fresh sounds section of the International Bluegrass Music Associations trade magazine called the band high energy, traditional bluegrass.
Veterans of both stage and studio, their material is always tasteful and well presented. The bands stage presence and musicianship have won them loyal audiences and fans wherever they have entertained. "These boys just grab you and take you for a bluegrass musical wild ride that leaves you breathless and panting...and you want to get right back on!" says Joe Willis of WBZC Radio in Burlington, New Jersey.
Jack Sanbower and The No Leeway Band have performed at many bluegrass events and venues up and down the East Coast and in the Midwest. Some bluegrass festivals where they have entertained are Bass Mountain, Gettysburg, Windgap, Arcadia, Corinth, Ypsilanti, Wellsboro, Copley, and Jerseytown.
Based around the banjo virtuoso stylings of Jack Sanbower, The No Leeway Band is carrying the bluegrass music tradition to today's audience.
