Falling Snow Falling Snow

Hip Hop General

Cocky. Charismatic. Eccentric. Progressive. Controversial. All these words can be used to describe the enigma known as The Almighty Anthony Analog (Another Nephilim Throwing Harmony On Natures Yoke... Anticipating Nothing After Love Opens Growth). A seasoned emcee, producer, graphic designer, and promoter, Analog is a threat from any angle and an irreplaceable asset to The Hooligan Movement. A Ridgecrest, California native (760), Anthony Analog began producing and recording in 1999 under the assumed moniker of Megamayn.X (Metaphysical Energy Garnered Advancing Mentalities Activating Yourself Now) alongside partner in crime Jesse Flowinz (then known as Zhero). The two released an EP entitled The Experimental EP under the group name Tha Shape Shifterz. It was a short run press that was predominately distributed amongst family and friends and was never reissued. Over the next 2 year, Analog began working on a solo double disc LP under the working title of Epics: The Illiad & The Odyssey. It was a concept project, with The Illiad disc slated to be a combination of battle styled tracks mixed with direct concept tracks, whereas The Odyssey was slated to be a cohesive storyline album. With a majority of the writing complete and the project entering the production phase, Analog placed the entire project on a permanent hold when he was prompted to move to Phoenix, Arizona in September, 2001, to be closer to his family during times of crisis. In Early 2002, Analog was contacted by Arizona legend Dirty Red (Dirty Red Productions, Triple Crown, Cross Platform) for a series of shows (Rappers Deelite) at the since gentrified Emerald Lounge in central Phoenix. These shows would prove fateful in forming crucial relationships within the Arizona Hip Hop scene for Analog, for it was here he met fellow future crew members KnightVizion, Jihad Joe, and Fabel. He also met Phoenix Truth Rap artist Voice at the Rappers Deelite shows, who eventually introduced him to fellow crew member Micheal Fanatic. The course of the next 4 years saw the highest of highs, and the lowest of lows for Analog. On one hand, December 31, 2003 saw the birth of his first child, Azrael Soul; on the other hand, 2003-2005 specifically saw Anthony Analog battle an addiction to Methamphetamines and Cocaine (which would serve as the inspiration for the current Cocaine Christ alias he uses), as well as a change in primary monikers from Megamayn.X to Anthony Analog. Through this 4 year stretch, Analog began work on numerous projects, from the Akira EP and Aftershock Mixtape to the Akira LP and Threshold Frequency LP. From these numerous unfinished projects emerged the foundation of a distinct, unique, and powerful style; a combination of Underground Hip Hop, Mainstream Hip Hop, various forms of Electronica, Industrial, Nu Metal, Screamo, and Classic Rock that will be showcased in full on Analog's forthcoming, self-produced and self-titled solo debut LP. A turning point in the musical career of Anthony Analog came in 2006 when he was invited to join a new squadron called The Hooligan Movement [hyperlink to official HM bio]. The in your face, hyper aggressive style of the group allowed Analog to explore the depths of his mind and the darkest places of his life in his writings. The ever changing roster and dynamic of the group has finally began to settle in 2009, as each member redefines their role in the evolved face of the group. Analog, specifically, has undergone a radical change in and through his involvement with The Hooligan Movement, for which he is more focused than ever, with a broader range skill set then ever imagined. As 2009 winds down, The Almighty Anthony Analog is gearing up to release his first official solo project: The New Crack Mixtape [insert hyperlink to the New Crack page] under the moniker Cocaine Christ. Consider yourselves warned.
