Innocence and Experience (demo) Innocence and Experience (demo)
This is a demo version of a new song we did last night. It is terribly simple, and bitter. The End.
I Know That When You Return From Your Nightmares.. I Know That When You Return From Your Nightmares..
The entire title is "I know that when you return from your nightmares, we wil walk again hand in hand, as before..." but, its way too long for me to fit up there.
The Heaviest Hearts Sink To The Bottom The Heaviest Hearts Sink To The Bottom
Short and to the point.... if there is one.
Always, And Never Not Always, And Never Not
My Country-esque Super Hit. Featuring me on guitar, voice, and harmonica!
Fivewordslong are Matt Toohey and Steve Lambert, along with anyone else who helps us out along the way. We are the future of Rock N Roll. Probably.Band/artist history
We've been together working on music for over 10 months now....probably actually a year, who knows. We are currently working on recording our Album. It's almost done. Its 17 tracks and called "All Robots Go To Heaven"... or something. We'll prolly end up changing our minds again. We're working on art and finalizing a couple tracks... doing some last minute tweaking. Like I said, it's gonna be like 3 bucks, we did it all ourselves on a four track and our computers. We're not trying to impress anyone with sound quality, we're just trying to prove that you can do this shit on your own and still produce good, meaningful music. And thats what its all about. Fuck money. I'll stay at Ritz Camera for the rest of my life as long as I can continue making music that I love.Have you performed in front of an audience? We play live in front of the bathroom mirror.
We're gearing up to start playing actual live shows by the end of the school year or something. The trouble is A) getting off our asses and practicing together, B) writing new songs that can be played live (most of our songs have like 20+ tracks of random shit buried in them to make them sound cool, making it hard to play live since we can't play ten instruments each.) and C) finding places to play/ people to play with. Too many people/places around where we are aren't too appreciative of non-punkrock bands (cause bowie is a cultural wasteland). Apparently the bands SoundofSilence and League said they would play with us. Thats pretty neat considering they are way cooler bands. This paragraph is too long.
Your musical influences
We Listen to everything and anything. Basically music is created seperately by the two of us. Most of the stuff I make is acoustic guitar driven indie/folk stuff with some electronic apects to it, and then theres the all-out, no holds barred techno that I create late at night when I am not in the right state of mind. Steve has more keyboard driven pop/punkish music, to incredibly weird nonsensical music (see the mars volta). It is our goal to use our combined musical creations to rock your freakin face off. What equipment do you use?
Zoom MRT3, Alesis SR-16, MicroKorg, Kawai K1, Some Yamaha keyboard, Acoustic Electric, Pedals (cry baby wah, metal zone distortion, Arion Stereo Phaser, and Digitech RP50 effects pedal), Aicd Pro 4.0, A Harmonica, Bongos, and in one song: a bed, a fan, car keys and an electric razor.Anything else?
Come and Play with us! We are constantly looking for new people to come and do songs with us. Credit will be given were credit is due. If you live in maryland and are awesome and you like crazy random experimental indie music, email me and let me know.Contact

What's up Matt.....First of all I really appreciate you comin' by and checkin' out a few of my tracks....It's always especially cool when someone who really isn't into Hip-Hop takes a listen, and comes away with something. You realized my stuff isn't the run of the mill status quo pop rap....and I appreciate that sincerely!!! I'm pretty open minded (believe it or not...lol) Any genre of music is cool with me as long as it's done with talent and sincerity...I gave you a listen, and defininetly respect what you do....You guys have some quality material...keep at it I know it's only gonna get better, keep me posted on how things go....Much success to you and your band in the future.
Thanks for the kind words dude, keep rocking out.
