The Arkive project is a collection of songs produced/recorded in the 90's and beyond. There is a mix of industrial, dance, pop and electronic. Hopefully something you will like. Will be uploading and creating artwork for every song in the archive. I am Arkive and this is the Arkive Project.
Have you performed in front of an audience?
No.
Your musical influences
Nine Inch Nails, Front 242, Ministry, Tears For Fears, Tangerine Dream, New Order, Nitzer Ebb, Depeche Mode, Eurythmics, Peter Grabrielle
What equipment do you use?
Ensoniq Mirage, Kawai K4(2), EMU Emaxx, Emu Proteus, Korg Wavestation, Kurzweil K2500, Alesis D4, Peavey Bass Module. Various guitars and tons of different effect boxes. During the 90's we actually had access to a lot more. At one point we even got to play around (for a day or two) with a vintage (even back then) Roland vocoder (do not remember the model). We were told it was the same exact model used to create voices on TV. We sampled the crap out of it. All 90's productions were sequenced on an Amiga500 using Dr. T's KCS. Late nineties/2000 switched to Sonar/Cakewalk. In the beginning the K4's were the workhorses while the Emaxx handled our sampling. Our sound engineer was a professional who actually worked for one of the large sound-banks. He could create any kind of sound imagined.
