Aristaeus is a Black Metal Project from a rural area in Oklahoma founded by Killian Thorn (guitars and music)and Heztael Tyrot(vocals)The Music is best described as Sorrowful with minimal Keyboards for atmosphere.Band/artist history
The origins of Aristaeus go back to 94 when Heztael and Killian met. They started a Death Metal Band called Akeldama that incorporated Keyboards. In 1999 they went more in a Black Metal Direction and recruited a drummer, a 2nd guitarist, a keyboardist and a bassist. They went with the name Mournful Vengeance and wrote several songs. The lineup changed often and many problems with creative differences forced Killian and Heztael to make it a studio project only between the 2 of them. They Changed the name to Aristaeus and rereleased the Demo Entitled Beyond the Tides in 2001.Have you performed in front of an audience?No, Aristaeus is a creative outlet for the 2 of us. We like it that way. To bring in more people would kill the individual vision. If we ever do bring in more members they will not have any part in writing, only session members for live performance.
