Drive to Crash (Intro Piece) Drive to Crash (Intro Piece)

This was actually the very first piece I ever did with Techno Ejay. It really fits well as an intro piece. It's fast paced and pretty strong. Give it a listen and let me know what you think.

A Sad Dream A Sad Dream

This is a very soft, almost ambient trance song. My friend and I wrote it just wanting to do something pretty and this is what we ended up with. It's a great little piece I think. By all means post comments.

The Landing The Landing

I think this classifies as techno, but I'm not exactly sure. It's really a very weird piece. Just think of some freaky looking aliens landing on Earth.

A Sad Dream (War To End All Wars Remix) A Sad Dream (War To End All Wars Remix)

I think this does need a little work as far as the voiceovers are concerned. It's a nifty remix as a tribute to WW2. I had a lot of fun doing it with a friend. The only thing really different is the voiceover stuff, but still, it was awesome.

Trance Love Trance Love

Trance Love is really just the working title. This is a short little piece I've worked up. I am thinking of extending it and making it more 'dream' style. Let me know what you think.

Trance

"Arconna", founded in mid-2001, was originally a two man group determined only to make good music that fit our likes. "A Sad Dream" was made this way and it stood in the top 50 at former JavaMusic for nearly six months--a surprising feat for a bunch of guys not intending to go anywhere with it and with no prior knowledge in the making of electronic music. Eventually the two broke apart and I (Shaun) decided to continue with it. I mixed several other tracks and was forced to stop due to a long bout with cancer. Since then I have struggled continuously with a compatibility issue between my XK-6 and my computer and hopefully in the near future can get a better designed computer for my music needs. For now I use a variety of programs such as MTV Music Generator, FruityLoops, and Ejay, among other mini-programs for various effects. I hope to take up the music again and churn out better quality tunes.
Have you performed in front of an audience?
I have yet to play live, but a new friendship with a sound mixer and designer may provide a chance to start really churning out some good stuff.
Your musical influences
I think my trek into trance music began with trance[]control after hearing a Starcraft remix of their great piece "Atomic Dance Explosion". Since then I've been hooked. I'm a huge fan of Lagoon and Aura, as well as Alphazone, Oceanlab, Paul Van Dyke, and numerous other famous artists out there. djFremen is one of my newest favorites along with DJ Trax. I'd say they influence me in that their music really has affected my life, however corny that may sound. They create such beautiful music, even the stuff not in my proposed genre. It's great art.
What equipment do you use?
Currently I'm only using Fruityloops because a change to WinXP created some problems with Ejay and I choose not to use MTV Music Generator much. I have an E-MU XK-6 keyboard, but unfortunately compatibility issues have prevented me from putting it to good use. A friend of mine does a lot of sound mixing and design and I hope that perhaps we'll get together and really put some beautiful stuff up. I do hope to get a new computer within the next few months that will be specifically designed for my music.
