New School

Wat it is? Yo, by my mama, I am crowned Eric Rashad Silas. But to those in the 409, that Southeast Texas, I am legened as Aqua Phresh. I am just a man wit the same dream as everybody else - Ball Til U Fall. If I said I was in it for the love of music, I'd be only half-way telling the truth. I'm more in it for the money than anything else. I had to take a semester off from my college education to try and help my mom financially. But I dont see that as a negative. The time that I would be spendin in class I'm devoting to my music. I'm a full time rapper, part-time producer. I feel more in tune wit my music when I rap on my own beats. So do me a favor, listen to some of my beats, and tell me wats up.

Band/artist history

Man I been rappin since 2003 back wen I was in High School. I was doin the shit just for fun but then it turned serious all of a sudden.

Have you performed in front of an audience?

The 409 aint all that big, so it aint a lot of spots to try and perform. I am startin to get some radio play down in that Nacogdoches. (BIGG shout out to that Ben Rich and DJ Anthrax!!!!!)

Your musical influences

I'm more into mixtapes than commercial artists. That's where you REALLY get to hear rappers in their element. I like Swisher House, S.U.C., Trae, Lil' Wayne, Chamillionaire, Charlie Boy and Tite, rappers like that

What equipment do you use?

For some of my beats, I use Fruity Loops, that's been pretty useful. When I can, I hook up wit Ben Rich to make some serious shit.

Anything else?

I'm tryin to reshape the industry. I'm tryin to reach out and appeal to all types of people. Instead of jumpin into the rap game and adjusting to wat everybody else is doing, I'm tryin to make the rap game adjust to me. I'm tryin to curve the style to fit wat I'm doin.
