Small-town loser turned L.A. transplant, Antoine Perkins writes moving songs eventually tranforming the material into recorded output. The songs are driving and catchy with distorted riffs and heavy bass hooks. But don't let these lo-fi, punk-inspired, numbers fool you! The content has purpose and touches on adult issues such as politics, reality, and love.
Started a" bedroom" band in high school named "Sue". Later, during college, I started a two piece "punk-power-pop" dio called "Pretty Sneaky Sis with drummer, Bob Stover in mid 90's. Released first album called Friends From Ohio. Due to numerous personel changes and creative, personal diffences, the band called it quits in 2001.
I started a genre-hopping, indie-rap band called Monster Movies and added a second bass player and an MC. Monster Movies broke conventions with it's obscure indie-rock cover songs (from Radiohead to Sebadoh) and "bass only" string section. That's right. NO GUITARS. Monster Movies released it first and only(fan funded)
debut: Terromones in 2002. The band went their separate ways shortly after the CD came out.
Perkins started a three piece called River of Wine with guitarist, Marc Hartfield and (club owner)drummer, Jeff Steward. The group performed live for several months before also splitting in early 2004.
In 2005, Antoine met old friend and The Sun(Warner Bros.) frontman, Chris Burney. The two went into the studio to record songs Perkins had penned during his downtime during MM called: the DangerWayne project. Perkins invited drummer Tim O' Dell to complete the sound. Shortly after, "When Words Collide" was released in Summer 2006.
Perkins continues to perform and write live reviews for other artist. He a contributing writer for Reveiwer Magazine in California. Perkins also studies music business.

I played non-stop in Ohio until recording "When Words Collide" and then re-locationing to L.A. I wanted more experience and exposure in the industry.
