it's just me playing stuff that sticks in my head or things i daydream about. sometimes i'll just lay a track down and dig up some words from a notebook and put them over it and add stuff later. the website where you can get all of my mp3's is .
Band/artist history
am i really a "band"? on a couple of my songs there is a guest musician, but mostly it's just me playing in my basement or closet or something. i don't even use the computer in the recording process, it's all analog.
Have you performed in front of an audience?
i would like to play live, although there are only a few songs that i could duplicate by myself live and still make them sound how they should. it would be fun to give it a go though.
Your musical influences
jeff mangum, fugazi, jason farrell, geoff farina, bright eyes, dead milkmen, fuck, drive like jehu, jimi hendrix, interpol, neutral milk hotel, the gerbils, the pixies, the lemonheads and sonic youth. to name a few.
What equipment do you use?
for analog recording i use a tascam portastudio 414 and a 424. for the computer i use acid pro 4.0 and wavelab. for guitars i use a danelectro 56-u2, a fender telecaster, a fender acoustic, an ernie ball musicman stingray bass, an sg and a busted-up siewa jazzman: all lefty. for amplification(where applicable, as i usually run instruments directly into the four track) a little 15-watt crate amplifier and an 80-watt peavey. i use a danelectro chicken salad vibrato and a really old dunlop crybaby wah pedal from time to time. for the drums i used a pearl export kit usually, but once or twice i break out with the old mutt kit made up of tons of different sets.

I really like your material, tectonics is interesting. Sort of reminds me of a couple of your influences, but you manage to hold a unique style. All of the guitar work is really good, your solos are grand, the guitar at the very end of mattress money is my favorite. Ill keep listening to your songs, if you keep making them.
awesome song i mean tectonics
