You gat some good work here. I saw a post of yours on The Drunken Irishman page. You wondered why HE "piched up" his songs... that was not by intent. Some bands downloads play at wrong speed and he will probably fix it soon, So check him again. AND KEEP UP YOUR GOOD WORK AS WELL!

Indeed
The Irishman does have an Irish trad feel to it...so I guess it really was not a joke

Hurrah Andreas!
I was VERY impressed with your playing and singing!
It's obvious that you are a natural talent!
I listened to all your songs, and enjoyed hearing you play your new bouzouki on "The Hare's Lament".
It was great fun hearing you sing "Mary Mac" as well!
Keep it up, and thanks for sharing!

Hi,
"A blacksmith courted me" which you have as "Blacksmith" is a great song and you do very well with it :-)
However, it is not an Irish song, it is a traditional ENGLISH song collected by Cecil Sharp, and has been printed in several collections.
I suspect that you got your version of "The Blacksmith" from the Irish group Planxty. It is a common mistake to assume that songs sung by Irish folk bands are traditional Irish songs. Very often they are not.
"The Blacksmith" is on a couple of Planxty albums ("Planxty" and "Planxty Collection") where they credit it as a traditional English song.
Why do I bother about this? Because all too often I hear and read people claiming that English traditional music and song doesn't exist or is insignificant. Well, it does exist and is a beautiful tradition.
