IN THE BEGINNING, woman created band.... Alluring Eve came into existence as the result of the evolution of Emeralde Fear, An Geneva's gothic solo project. In 1997, Andree released (under the name Emeralde Fear) the ethereal CD, Carmine Elixir, on BBD Records. Needing a tour guitarist for Emeralde Fear, Andree met Devin in 1999 while he was the guitarist for the Chicago-based band, Vampyre. The two performed as Emeralde Fear (with guest bass player, Charles Levi of MY LIFE WITH THE THRILL KILL KULT). As Andree and Devin collaborated on new material, the sound grew into "an explosive blend of industrial angst and childlike innocence". Emeralde Fear became Alluring Eve. This "new" band had more aggression, stronger melodies, and a different outlook on life. The combination of Andree's haunting songwriting appeal and intense multi-octave vocals with Devin's heavy rock prowess completed the package for this Chicago-based band's "alluring" sound. Amidst this transformation, Andree toured nationally as singer/keyboardist with MEG LEE CHIN (Pigface). Andree and Devin have completed 'Random Acts...', a five song CD EP to mark the band's official debut. Completed in Fall 2002, Random Acts is a collection of works depicting a world void of rules, existing outside of boundaries, seizing control, and losing control of oneself. Random Acts features "artist & disciples", "Midnight", "Brandywine", a remake of the Emeralde Fear song, "floW" (from Carmine Elixir 1997), and "Sky", the powerhouse remix of "Apparition Sky" by Greg Miner (THE ELECTRIC HELLFIRE CLUB). The original Emeralde Fear release of "Apparition Sky" is featured on CLEOPATRA RECORDS' The Unquiet Grave. Currently, Alluring Eve is recording new material for their upcoming full length CD and plans to tour throughout the US. For booking, please contact: Andree at info@alluringeve.
Analysis
Alluring Eve is classified Alternative Dance. Aggressive/melodic vocals, driving beats, and hard rock guitar riffs.
Random Acts is a five song EP that allows the listener to experience the band's versatility. Drawing from rock and electronic influences, there's real singing, some shouting, some samples. The live aspect is heavily considered in this presentation.
