Band/artist history

Free2B are an inspirational girl duo, whose styles are based around R’n’b, Gospel

& Reggae, and also includes a bit of commercial Pop & Rock. The vision behind their group is to promote freedom.

They are family members, and have both dreamed about being performers from a young age.

They were formed firstly in 2003 and were called ‘3style’.

They started in a dance group called ‘Vision’, who performed on the behalf of their local church, ‘Outreach international Ministries', at various

Christian events/concerts, and were featured on a program on both Ben and

Obe TV called, ‘Keep it real’.

Free2B were known as 3Style for 2 years, until they separated in 2005, due to various reasons.

In 3style the members included, Alisha Brown, who was 15 at the time, Anika was 24, and Heva Brown, who was 32.

They were an entertainment group similar to TLC, as they all bought different elements to the group.

Alisha was the main singer as she has a great voice; she arranged most of the vocals alongside with Anika.

Anika was the fun of the group; she made up creative and crazy dance moves,

and had a high and soft voice.

And Heva was the like the manager of the group, as she was very organized

and serious about the vision. She also wrote many of their songs, she danced

and Rapped on their tracks.

After 2 years of working on solo projects, Heva now 37, felt that 3style needed to come back together as a professional group and release the songs they had written in the past. So they re-joined in May 2007.

Alisha now 19 was working on her own projects at the time and was not sure whether she wanted to join the group, due to the level of experience she had vocally compared to the other members of the group.

But despite a few doubts, she agreed in the end, and made it clear that she would work on solo projects that will be included in and outside the group’s projects. The group changed their name to Free2B because they are so different in terms of style and Their level of musical experience, also they don’t want to be limited, under estimated or conformed by the music industry.

Free2B have been recording with producer Clive Melbourne, CEO of ‘highly exalted ministries’, from April 2007 until 2008, and have recently mixed a track which they will be releasing this year.

In 2007 Anika left the group, but Alisha and Heva still strived to succeed.

They have performed at a lot of local church events, clubs, (where they were the only gospel group on the books), and live concerts.

Now Alisha and Heva are both getting ready to take the world by storm, by getting exposure through the Internet, live performances, radio and other mediums. They’re looking to develop their voices to an advance level and work on their performance, to present themselves as the total package.

Their aim is to be the most successful Gospel group ever from the UK!!!
