Muddy Shores Muddy Shores
Sampled Breaks track. Quite slow for a breaks tune so kinda in between breaks and hip hop but with a bouncy feel and nice moogy bassline. Percussive.
Look at Me (AE mix) Look at Me (AE mix)

Mlebourne Artist/Producer Alias Everest is all about the funk in hip hop. He is tells a story with the rhymes while keeping it fresh with the beats.Band/artist history
I started Djing mobile discos at 17, doing wedding parties and birthdays. That was ok for a while but I wanted more of a challenge and soon left mobile discos for the club world. Going out and playing in clubs was great for a couple of years but after a while I started getting over playing other peoples records all the time. Production was where it was at for me. So I set up a small home studio and started producing dance tracks. Slowly though, the dance scene was loosing it's appeal and I started to look for something with more soul and substance to it. My brother played me this hip hop record one day after I had been out and I fell in love with those crazy beats from then on. Now I mainly produce hip hop tunes but the occassional house or breaks track will find it's way into the studio so i'll put that together to mash things up a bit.Have you performed in front of an audience? Not yet. I'm mainly focused on the production side of things at the moment. Just trying to refine my style and sound. When I'm ready I hope to play live and connect on that level as well.
Your musical influences
I would probably have to say my biggest influences are Quincy Jones and Michael Jackson. I used to love listening to MJ's albums while at school and trying to figure out how those funky ass beats were put together. Other influences include, Jean Michelle Jarre (blame my dad), Louis Armstrong, BT, Rollo and Faithless, Black Eyed Peas, Sasha and Digweed, De La Soul, J5, Timberland and Missy, Dallas Austin, Kevin Briggs, Dr. Dre, Eminem, Teddy Riley, Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis, Pharell and Chad, Lauryn Hill, Gwen Stefani, Aaliyah, Beyonce, Rapture and Seats from Keybeats, Babyface and LA Reid, Darkchild, Jermaine Dupri, Nellee Hooper, Carl Cox, 1200 Techniques, Soul District's Revelino, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Massive Attack and John WilliamsAnything else?
Since I see myself more as a producer than an artist , if you feel the vibe and want me to produce a track for you then flick me an email: aliaseverest@yahoo.com.au
