He also wrote the lead song "Afraid Of Me" for the Michael Gross' new film "Our Father" (Which was nominated for an LA Independent Film Award in 2015)
His song "If Trucks Drank Beer" was licensed for MTV's hugely popular RockBand video game, Bobby Cash's recording of Al's song, 'Train, Train', was a top 20 hit in Australia. He also placed "Where The Money Goes" with Cupit Records artist Dave Russell. His songs have been featured on The Doctor Demento Show, reached radio audiences in the millions on WSM (home of the Grand Ole' Opry) and have been performed around the globe by recording artists and co-writers like 2008 Kerrville winner CJ Watson. Al has performed on the Opry Star Spotlight, and has had songs regularly featured on the show.
He has written for Shadow Mountain Music Group/Mountain Row and he was also a professional song critic for NSAI-- The Nashville Songwriters Association International. Back in 2001 he founded Tunesmith.net- one of the most visited songwriting sites on the internet.
