Go Down Slow Go Down Slow
Afferent Cue's songs are written in the singer/songwriter tradition, touching on the personal side of life.
Vocally, Starr delivers these songs with passion, her striking voice a combination of earthiness, sensuality and innocence. Bill's emotionally charged guitar playing and back-up vocals compliment her perfectly.
Their upcoming CD, "Drinking With Hemingway (May, 2011) features an amazing group of Philadelphia's best musicians and guest vocalists. Drinking With Hemingway was recorded at MorningStar Studios, with multi-Grammy winning Glenn Barratt Producing.
Band/artist history
Natives of Philadelphia, Starr (vocals/percussion) and Bill (guitar/vocals) have explored varied musical genres, both performing in different bands before coming together to form "Afferent Cue". Friends for years, now life partners - they have successfully merged their diverse musical influences to create a sound that has been described as "americana or alternative folk/rock".
Have you performed in front of an audience?
Currently, we are playing in the Northeastern part of the US, however there have been whispers 'round here of a country-wide year-long tour beginning as early as November, 2011. Stay tuned!
