Melancholy, sad, thought-provoking. Each song is like a musical memory of an emotion, a feeling, or a person.

too cold to feel (beta 4) too cold to feel (beta 4)
demo without vocals for an older song of mine

Conquering an as yet Unoccupied Future Conquering an as yet Unoccupied Future
hesitant to post, but I haven't posted new stuff in a while. This is a song which features me on my guitar and the usual synthy crud. You'd have to hear it to understand.

Sometimes it feels as if the earth is dying... Sometimes it feels as if the earth is dying...
Some heavy ambience in here. A beat that took me a while to come up with, and some piano solo too.

For the thousandth time...I really am For the thousandth time...I really am
A lot of machine and static type sounds, with a melody somewhere in there.

The day the earth went cold The day the earth went cold
This is the closest to complete version of a song I've been working on for months, based entirely on the feelings I experienced while I was broken up with my girlfriend of 9 months (we're back together now...thank god)

Aetherius is an independent electronica artist, hailing from Toronto, Ontario, Canada. He has self-produced more than four albums worth of original material since 2001.
The music is a collection of photographs of people he doesn't know anymore.
Band/artist history
When he was even younger, Rab liked music that made his heart 'splode. This was all well and good until the heart-'sploding music stopped in 2001. Delving into the collective consciousness that is probably the intarweb, Rab discovered the proper utensils and skills with which to make his own heart 'splode.
This led to the composition and production of two albums' worth of piano driven ambient dance music entitled 'Multi-Coloured Breakfast' and 'Empty Box of Happiness,' the latter of which exposing a more experimental edge.
By 2004, after having changed his alias to "Aetherius" (from something even stupider), taking plenty of time to improve his skills, and allowing for several changes of influence and style, he composed and produced a third album entitled 'The Inevitability of Pain (and the stupidity of those who don't expect it)' which was a more structured, yet still experimental collection of piano driven ambient songs.
From 2005 to 2006, He worked on his fourth album of original music, which is still tentatively titled "Complete thoughts from a fractured mind." It showcases his affinity for found-sound layering, and guitar experimentation, and a development of his piano style into a more delicate, dreamlike atmosphere. However, the album itself is full of dark overtones and undertones, loosely conceptualized as an "end of days" allegory.
Throughout later 2007, Rab began working on an EP entitled 'FallPast', named for a song written shortly after the completion of the last song on 'Complete Thoughts...', the EP is still a work in progress, despite the incomplete status of 'Complete Thoughts...' itself, and ideas for a new concept album in the future.
It only takes a few minutes to make your heart 'splode, but once it 'splodes, you'll want it to 'splode some more.
Have you performed in front of an audience?
I don't usually play live. That would require a band. If I were cloned or something, maybe It would be a member of my band. It's just me playing these.

just downloaded some stuff, aeth, and it looks great. keep it up! hopefully the next song on here will be the thing you do for LAProject.
Hello, Aetherius, it's some random guy reporting for review. Listened to a few songs here and there... I rather like the gentle and serene My Town; if you like video game music you can always check out my page ;)
You've got potential, for sure, but you'll never realize it if you don't keep working (but, of course, you knew that). You seem a pretty serious musician, however dark most of your writing is, so I recommend getting involved with the community here (forums and stuff) so more people will listen to your music, give you feedback and you'll be set. Or not, it's just a suggestion, but you could go far if you get involved. Either way, I hope to hear from you. Best wishes.
i think you've got some great potential in your songs! keep it up!
I'm really liking the "My Town" song, seems like just a happy little tune at first, but as it goes on, you get the feeling of a deeper story.
Hey I like you music and how it has meaning mustly how you play piano
