A.K.A - "ContraDiction"
24 yr old emcee, hailing from NYC. I try to present a blend of more classical/traditional hip hop sounds, with enough versatility and diversity to quench any "new school" fans thirst. I don't strive to sound like your favorite commercial rapper, but I don't try to sound like your favorite underground emcee either. Whatver I'm feeling at the time, or whatever comes out of me, is what I lay down in my music - take it or leave it. I dont try to appeal to any particular audience, and my hopes are that by remaining that way, I may eventually appeal to ALL audiences, instead of isolating myself to 1 type of sound. People are multi-dimensional and so should be there creations. Depending on my mood, I may enjoy a club jam by your latest big-name rapper, or i may enjoy a lyrical classic. Maybe I'll listen to some old Metallica, or throw on some music from other countries. I create music the same way that I listen to it, so I try to keep my artistic output as diverse as the intake. If you are a fan of music, give me a listen. I can be anything I feel like being, and dont feel bound by the invisible rules that seem to govern the music industry. I am commercial; I am underground. I am influenced by all kinds of things beyond hip hop music; by all forms of art and expression. Everything from film, anime, comic books, novels, classes I've taken, relationships Ive had - all of these things have sparked inspiration in me throughout my life. So that I don't seem like the pretentious cat who is dodging the question, I can say some of my strongest hip hop influences have been - The Roots, Redman, Wu Tang, J-Live, Cunninglynguists, Jigga, Nas, and Em.Anything else?
