2Pac,Nas,Jay-Z. I wish I could honestly name cats who were less commercial and more lyrical like Common and Kweli (who also hold it down), but in my life I relate to Pac more than any MC breathing. Nas, is that cat that keet it creative and the one who originally made me feel that my style could be deciphered. Jay-Z, the envy of all arguments, held it down like a champ. I'll never pattern my music toward either of them, but along with myself, they are my medication when the dumb box (TV) is force feeding me commercial joints.
