Warkal is my personal metal project. This is not a band at this time, I am doing everything on it, from writing music to photos...
I hop you'll enjoy it.
Well, long story short...
Back in mid 2006, my band Moonlight Reverence began to vanish. We tried to turn it into a studio project but it is hard to keep band members together without rehearsals nor even the idea of live performances. So after many months we closed the case and I began in late summer 2007 to search for other bands to keep my playing pleasure, freshness of ideas and the perspective to play concerts.
But I can't keep satisfied with these, since I always got a lot of music and lyrics in my mind, and a lot are the expression of deep, intimate feelings that are difficult to get played or sung by any other person. Also, my musical universe which was centered on heavy metal music get wider and at this time I'm about to like many simple riffs, easy-listening songs, well, pop music and like emo, neo, gothic and so. And it is NOT easy to find good musicians when you even pronounce some band's names like Linkin Park.... lol.
So well... here it is. All composed, written, arranged, played, sung, programmed by my very self. The absolute, as sincere as it could be, musical expression of my feelings, my thoughts, my emotions. It is like me naked in front of you listeners.
And it is,like, some fuckin Fragile Fury.
Not at the moment. Maybe the project will become a band someday and then we will play live.
I think it does take influence in a lot of different metal styles, from goth to heavy thru thrash and metalcore...
What bands can I quote, hmmm.... Nightwish, Soilwork, Alice cooper, Evanescence, 30 seconds to mars, Linkin Park, Dream Theater, WASP, Iced Earth, Killswitch Engage, Children of Bodom, Iced Earth, Def Leppard, X Japan, Siam Shade ...
Lag and Fender guitars, Suhr Pickups, Boss effects with Monte Allums mods, TC Electronic, Kustom amplification, E-mu audio interfaces
