Some people spend their whole life searching for their destiny. While others, like Anthony Cone, understand they have everything they need at each stage in the journey. Born in Germany on July 26, 1974 to proud parents Jon and Verna Cone, music was a family staple. Cone could not help but take great interest in music, because growing up the youngest of four there was plenty of music around. Cone says his main musical influence was his father. "I can remember hearing him playing the organ and the base, taping his feet as if he had a built in metronome" he says with a slight smile. He was destine to growing up in the era when Hip Hop began. "I was inspired by the sounds of L.L. Cool J, Kool Moe D, Slick Rick, and Rob Base...to name a few". It was those sounds that had him creating beats on his father's beat machine he laughs and says "It was so long ago, I can't even recall the name of the Beat Machine." Over time he was able to recall creating beats on the QY10 (one of the first miniature squencers) and later upgrade to the QY20. Like most artist, before you can make it, you have to learn from the journey. Knowing this Cone began focusing on the gifts and talents that God had blessed him with. He learned that through hard work and dedication he could make it to the next level. Through the help of others, he was able to create a studio in Colorado, where he was able to sell his first beat. This was just one of many steps toward where we meet him on his journey today. Now, Cone is the Co-Ceo of Real Life Muzic, working on creating sounds for the many artist that come to the studio. He also cemented himself as an artist. In his current release "The Cone Story" he is laying down lyrics that tell of life, love, pain, and passion. Through his beats you hear his passion to create the sounds, and his lyrics give you the knowledge to follow where he leads. Cone has proven that he is not only a producer of today's hottest beats, but the overall artist he was destine to be.
