This page features music from "Sunburst", a band from Lexington, KY which was together from 1978-1980. Most of this music was recorded live onto a small cassette recorder in 1978 or '79. One cassette was found several years later on the floor of the sound booth, so a lot of the material had to be "rescued" by painstaking audio processing. Efforts continue to improve the quality of the recordings, and more will be added as they are available.
These recordings comprise two versions of the band, several were recorded shortly after the band was formed but before the entire lineup had been assembled, others are the full band that most folks remember. The "origins" recordings were made on February 2, 1978 when the original members (Glenn, Greg, Larry, Bob, and Billy) had been together less than two weeks.
