Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
There is nothing like the adrenalin rush ..... and sometimes terror .... of playing live. My most memorable time was the night of my father's death when I was invited to sit in with my younger brother and cousin's band for a 2-hour set. It was a beer-soaked American Legion with the acoustics of a mausoleum in a small town outside of Saint Louis ..... but it will forever be most memorable live performance.
What equipment do you use?
I owned the obligatory Cherry Sun Burst Les Paul in 1983 that I sold 3 years later when finances were tight. Years later, I bought a Strat as my tastes in music had grown to include Country, Blues & Jazz. I love the look and feel of the Les Paul ... but c'mon ... it's great if you want to sound like Slash. But to get the sound of the true masters of the instrument ..... Clapton, Allman, SRV, Healy, Knopfler ..... ad nauseum, you need a Strat.
