The "Ligockie Wrzosy" Singing Ensemble was founded in June 2004 by a group of residents of Ligota Prószkowska and Agnieszka and Przemys?aw ?lusarczyk with the great support of Aniela Czollek - the long-time village head of Ligota Prószkowska. The band's task is to promote the village and develop the musical culture of its inhabitants and cultivate the tradition of Silesian culture. The team's activities are financed by OKiS in Prószków.
"Ligockie Wrzosy" debuted during the Municipal Harvest Festival in Górki near Opole on September 26, 2004. The band gives concerts throughout the province, in the country and abroad. The band's repertoire includes approximately 100 songs in the Silesian dialect, Polish and German.
He is the winner of many awards in regional, provincial and international competitions. Ligota Prószkowska is one of the few places on the map of the Opole Voivodeship and the country where the tradition of making music together, ritual singing a cappella and, above all, transmitting one's heritage orally is still alive.
