Jeff Furrow

I am a singer/songwriter/musician. I write my own songs, record them, play all instrument parts, and add all vocals. I guess you could say, if something's not good, I can't blame anyone but myself...But, I wouldn't have it any other way. I like to be very involved in my own music, because I see it as a reflection of me, and I want that reflection to hold true to who I am.

I play live wherever I get the chance. The fire inside me to perform, entertain, and show off, is uncontrollable. Just call me a music junkie. As for special moments, I've had plenty. I have the greatest fun every time I perform, but I would have to say that performing in the Colgate Country Showdown was the biggest thrill, because there were so many people in the audience, and the energy was out of this world. I came in 6th out of over 40 acts (4 of which were full bands) with just a guitar and myself singing a song I wrote called "I Keep Going Down This Road". It was a blast!!!

My musical influences would also be my heroes. George Strait, Merle Haggard, Kenny Chesney, and the man who brought music into my life...my late father, Dewey Furrow (miss you, dad).

I use a Takamine electric/accoustic for most of my performances, but will resort to my Fender Strat for more of the upbeat styles. I have also used my Precision Bass (fender) for performances with other bands, as well as different drum sets. Hey, if music comes from it, I will use it...whether it be with me singing, or in someone else's band. I just love to play.
