While I have played in a band most of my performing life, I am still writing songs as a solo artist and plan on continuing. I was the lead singer for the band Perfect Crime in both of it's incarnations beginning in NY in 1986. When I moved to NJ in 1989, I began writing with guitarist Jeff Parsons and began a new lineup of Perfect Crime. We played throughout NY and NJ through the better part of the 90's with weekly gigs at the legendary Stone Pony and other Jersey shore clubs.Band/artist history
Formed in 1989, Perfect Crime was pioneered by Lew Hastings and Jeff Parsons. As the bands principle songwriters, Lew and Jeff wrote songs reflective of their musical influences which included classic rock, blues, and heavy metal to alternative and melodic ballads. Performing regularly in NY, NJ, and Pennsylvania, this foursome recorded and performed originals which can be heard on this soundclick site.Have you performed in front of an audience?Currently not playing live. I loved playing live, particularly for a crowd of our regulars.
Anything else?
Give a listen to the music. Take a look at the pics we have from our time in the clubs, rate our songs, and comment, comment, comment. I intend to continue in music as a singer/songwriter with new stuff forthcoming.mountainmama025's station

Wow! This is another great tune from you guys. This really rocks! Perfect pitch and timing. Killer bass line, drums, guitar work and vocals. The guitar tone is perfect for my ears. The use of high dynamic range in the bridge is an attention getter. I listened to this several times and I honesty can not hear one single note out of place. Outstanding performance and production!
5 stars +++
RoxieI like this one a lot. It reminds me of some old Foghat. The drums and bass are tight and lay down a solid foundation for some killer guitar work. The vocals are clear and pronounced. The song writing, arrangement and performance are excellent. The hook is very effective and the double kick drum breaks add a nice dynamic touch. Might I add that I love the ending, it really left me wanting more.
The sound quality is not the best I've heard but it certainly is OK. Everything else is so good that feel obliged to rate this at...
5 stars ++
Great job
Roxie
A couple suggestions and remember that this is my ears not everyones.
I hear some high end hiss mostly noticeable at the intro you might want to roll back some of the highs. The overall mix is a little harsh to (I repeat) my ears. You might want to roll back the upper mids to mellow the sound a little. I wouldn't touch anything unless you agree or others tell you the same.
There is some heavy clipping in some of the low midsHi Austin,
Been listening to a few of your tunes tonight, this one is my fav so far. Hard to believe this was written in 93, the lyrics are SO FITTING for right NOW. I've been there and felt all those feelings you're singing about. Nice rockin tune, nice vocals. Hope to hear more like this, take care and keep on rockin! ;)
