Adamsdown Sings
Pupils from Adamsdown, Stacey and Tredegarville Primary Schools took part in a project in Spring 2009 with local author and songwriter Jon Blake to create and perform a song for Adamsdown, Cardiff.
The song was engineered by Gwill at the Atrium, Adamsdown; guitar was by Richard J Parfitt (ex 60ft Dolls); bass by Callum Duggan; drums by Alistair Pilgrim; various instruments by Jon Blake. Lead vocal is by Jessicca Hornby with backing vocals by Asha Salaax, Chloe Smith, Emma Bishop, Hollie Hayward, Megan Slater and the massed ranks of Year 5, Adamsdown and Stacey Primaries and Year 6, Tredegarville Primary.
For more about the song see .
Adamsdown Song has now been followed by the Adamsdown Sings project: a cross-section of Adamsdown residents are recording songs written for them by Jon Blake and Mark Roberts. Completed tracks and work in progress will be uploaded here.

What a wonderful song! Excellent performance from the band & especially the singers--and Jessicca is amazing! This song really paints a picture in my mind--thank you, and congratulations everyone for this incredible piece of music.
What a breath of fresh air it was, to hear this song :-)
5 stars for everything!!
As a Welshman, living in Australia, it took me 'home' for a few moments.
Congratulations to everyone involved in this worthwhile project.
The singers rock!!!
Best wishes
Rob
