We are 5FD, a punk band who take a lot of influence from the worlds of ska, punk, rock and hip-hop to create super fast punk rock.
A group of 3 friends, driven by the love of making music and putting smiles on faces of all the local gig goers, and armed with a few instruments and a few quid set out to leave there mark on this countrys punk rock scene. Based out in Sheffield UK, we have been tearing up the local gig circuit for the last 2 years playing 100+ gigs as far a-field as Leicester and Leeds as well as planning a national tour for the summer of 2005. Whilst scoring gigs with the likes of Uncle Brian, 4ft Fingers, Whitmore, Phinius Gage, Howards Alias and MYBE, we have self released a small handful of EPs and had some intrest from indiependent labels regarding local compliations.
Now, I know what youre thinking (well obviously not exactly what youre thinking I cant read minds or anything like that, but I could make a guess) why on earth should I care? Well YOU SHOULD! We pride ourself on making music we love and would buy ourselves and I am sure there of thousands of people out there who share our taste in music, just go down to your local punk night and youll see a room full of them. We dont follow trends to look cool or popular, we make music that comes from the heart and I think that is a rare quality in todays unsigned bands. We also place emphasis in humour and good times!
