Goose Creek Bands
NEWS
Late Winter 2008

both bands are underway in rehersing their UIL music programs for the contest in April. A big congratulations goes out to Baytown's singular person to make the TMEA All-State Band: REL's Bb clarinet player (who will remain anonymous.) the RSS wind ensemble is preparing a concert for the all-city band around january, so far the playlist includes steven reineke's "rise of the firebird" and british eight march. Also, the REL band is busy preparing "Gumsucker's March", "Enigma Variations", and "Paris Sketches" for their UIL program. The Region X HS Band 1 performed "Symphonic Dance No. 3 - 'Fiesta'", "Flight", and "Ave Maria" at their concert in mid January, the concert went splendid. some say HS band 1 was the best they've heard in years, having awesome balance and dynamic ranges. The recordings will be released during march or april on our site. The RSS wind ensemble, is preparing, "Festal Scenes", "Nobles of the Mystic Shrine", and "Ride" for their UIL program.
